| Superintendent's Corner |
Jeff Vinkemeier has been our Superintendent since 2001. He has been in the
industry since 1992. Along the way Jeff has worked at many fine golf courses,
including his internship at Hazeltine National Golf Club. Jeff attended Anoka -
Hennipin Technical College were he received a degree in Turf Grass
Management. He also holds many state licenses that help our golf course
including, Pesticide, Electrical, and Phosphorus training. Jeff is also a proud
member of many green industry groups such as Minnesota Golf Course
Superintendents Association, Minnesota Turf and Grounds Association, United
States Golf Association, and Golf Course Superintendents Association of
America.
Jeff lives in nearby Belle Plaine along with his wife Sheila, three daughters Lily,
Daisy, and Sage and are currently expecting their fourth child in June.
Glencoe Country Club's Maintenance Department currently has 16 seasonal
employees. The employees are very dedicated to providing a well maintained
course for the membership. GCC is proud to say that this year that we ave a
couple of employees that are hitting milestones - Mark Meuleners will be
starting his 15th year and Dave Wendlandt will be starting his 10th year. Thank
you to them for all of their hard work.
